Boylan Tops At Cuilcagh
Cuilcagh Hill Climb on Monday 4th July 2005
The Lakeland Cycle Club held its first hill climb of 2005 on Monday night, with an ascent of 4.6 miles up Cuilcagh Mountain.
The club was very impressed with their two newcomers Dale Dunlop and Peter Martin, who showed plenty of promise for the remainder of the season as this is a particularly grueling event for their debut.
Kenny Boylan proved yet again to be "King of the Mountain" with a time of 17 minutes and 21 seconds, followed by Eddie Carson with a time of 20 minutes and 45 seconds, and in third Julian Dunlop with 21 minutes and 58 seconds.
