Impressive Start For Defending Champions
Inter-Club 1 (Emyvale) on Tuesday 6th May 2008
This year’s Inter Club series of races began on Tuesday, May 6 with the Emyvale organised race, two laps of a ten mile circuit. This year in the Inter Club all riders are categorised by ability as A, B, C or D riders, with the C and D riders starting in the B race, and the faster A and B riders contesting the A race. The top six riders from each club, in each race, gain points to decide the Inter Club title and the overall top rider.
In the A race, Lakeland had a very solid start to retaining their Inter Club title with Dane Dunlop taking the win and Robbie Bryson, Kenny Boylan and Raymond Dunlop all in the first ten home. In the B race, Alan Magee finished third and Roger Monaghan fifth.
