FOUR / FIVE COUNTIES CHALLENGES
Touring Event on Sunday 22nd April 2007
On Sunday 22nd April the Lakeland CC’s ‘Four’ and ‘Five Counties Challenges’ took place.
Despite the damp weather conditions there was a very good turn out for the two tours which were to raise funds for the Special Olympics. The weather improved and everyone got home safe but sore.
The four counties tour was around 65 miles and the five counties was 93 miles, well it would have been five miles less if we hadn’t missed a turn, but no one is blaming Jean, Geraldine, Robert or Neil.
Thanks to all who took part, some of whom came from quite far away. Thanks to our usual back up crew Jean, Geraldine, Willie and Anthony who followed the cyclists, something you couldn’t be paid to do but you could be arrested for doing.
