Boylan Warms Up For Ras With Victory
Time Trial 2 on Wednesday 31st May 2006
Kenny Boylan warmed up for the Ras Dun na nGal with another emphatic win over 10miles on Wednesday in a very fast 22 minutes 51 seconds.
This of course did not surprise the cognoscenti but the sight of the increasingly less burley Raymond Pauley barreling along to a fine third place in his fastest time for years certainly raised a few eyebrows and rustled the time keepers sheets. Raymond was only 30 seconds slower than Stephen Coyle who is continuing his rich vein of form despite impending exam doom.
Peter Martin is steadily creeping up the rankings and displayed true grit in finishing fourth. Peter is obviously benefiting from all that suffering he has done over the winter hanging onto Kenny Boylan's wheels on so called gentle training spins.
It was good to see Tim Rippey out again showing that there's still life in the old sea dog. Mark Kavanagh, back from a stint in Edinburgh and Dublin, was obviously practising for his impending weekend duties of support driver by finishing at the back of the field.
